From Moss Supply to Biophilic Pioneers: Our Journey

Founded in 2001, Moss Acres began its journey in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, as a live moss supply company. With a passion for nature and a keen eye for quality, we quickly gained a reputation as a reliable source for high-grade, versatile mosses. Our early years were deeply rooted in the natural world, and it was this connection that propelled us into our next phase.

In 2015, recognizing the growing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly interior solutions, we ventured into the world of biophilic design. Building on our extensive knowledge of moss and its unique properties, we aimed to bring the tranquility and beauty of nature into indoor spaces. Over the years, we have honed our skills, perfecting the art of integrating natural elements into contemporary design with a focus on health, sustainability, and aesthetic elegance.

Our latest endeavor finds us in Totowa, New Jersey, where we've launched Moss Acres Biophilic Design Studio & Workshop. This innovative space serves as a hub for biophilic design, a gallery of our best work, and a community center for hands-on workshops and events. It represents the culmination of years of dedication to enhancing human interaction with natural elements. From moss walls to intricate nature-inspired art pieces and from adult workshops to children's educational programs, our Totowa location is a vibrant platform for showcasing the incredible potential of biophilic design.
